This site does not yet offer flash deals. I suspect that's coming via their twitter account. Sign up for email alerts. They are growing fast and it's absolutely one of our favorite sites to use.
Meals through Groupon are yet another way to save. Prebooking the restaurant you want to try, using the deals they offer (don't worry, in major cities they rarely cancel) can save you 20% or more. We've used Groupon deals in Paris, Florence, Koln and the Hague. A 5 course meal in Paris was €29/pp, the menu had it listed for €42. This does require a bit of planning, but worth the cost-savings.
Also, many museums in Europe are free everyday. Check the Guardian's listing of free museums in Europe, the Museum of Modern Art in Paris is one that's free and just phenomenal. Using tripadvisor.com, you read traveler reviews of your must-see museums, often in those reviews are recommendations on how to obtain cheaper/free tickets. Many times, prepurchasing online saves you at least 10%.
Note: these links aren’t sponsored. It’s properties/websites we’ve used during our 5 years of touring in Europe.
